Description

This roundtable provides an opportunity to examine the policy implications of the new Joseph Rowntree Foundation Viewpoint: Breaking the links between ethnicity and poverty in Wales.

Mae'r bwrdd gron yn cynnig gyfle i drafod gyblygiadau polisi Safbwynt newydd Sefydliad Joseph Rowntree (JRF): Chwalu’r cysylltiadau rhwng ethnigrwydd a thlodi yng Nghymru

The research, by Egino and The People and Work Unit, found that there are clear links between poverty and ethnicity in Wales and that these links are likely to continue for decades to come. However, this is not inevitable: different contexts can reduce or increase poverty linked to ethnicity and the Viewpoint argues for five key approaches to guide future action to break the links. The research findings can also help public bodies build actions to break the links between poverty and ethnicity into their delivery of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.
